Marvel 漫画著名角色 Wolverine 的创作者 Len Wein，近日不幸病逝，各界人士除表示惋惜外，亦对 Len Wein 的妻子 Christine Valada 表达关心。她接受 The Hollywood Reporter 访问时，跟记者谈起了 Len Wein 生前创作角色时的一些私事 :
He was in and out of the hospital since he was three years old. And I have always felt his characters reflected a lot of what he went through. Swamp Thing was a reflection of this body that didn’t work for him. But then there was that healing factor of Wolverine, which kept getting him through it.
Len Wein 自小身体欠佳，他的妻子 Christine Valada 认为丈夫创作的角色，很多时都反映著自己的身体。例如他为 DC 漫画创造出的 Swamp Thing（沼泽异形），反映自己不正常的健康状况，而拥有自我再生能力、顽强的 Wolverine，则代表他如何面对和跨过困境。而 Len Wein 今年在多次手术后，亦曾笑称希望自己拥有 Wolverine 的自愈能力。
