Hypebeans Teams Up with Sanrio’s Kuromi to Launch Hypebeans Kuromi Café
Hypebeans, a communal destination serving quality coffee, announces its inaugural collaboration with Sanrio’s beloved character, Kuromi. In celebration of Kuromi’s 20th anniversary next year, the collaboration fuses trendy Y2K aesthetics with Hypebeans’ signature style, creating a unique collection and café experience that embodies modern street culture. Every element, from merchandise to the café’s vibrant atmosphere, captures Kuromi’s playful yet edgy spirit, resonating with the fans and the Hypebeans community alike.
Beginning December 19, both Hypebeans locations in Hong Kong will unveil the Hypebeans Kuromi Café, an immersive space dedicated to celebrating Kuromi. Stepping into a world where kawaii meets minimalism at Hypebeans Kuromi Café, visitors will be welcomed by Kuromi-inspired purple-hued space featuring a neon-lit silhouette of Kuromi’s head. This pop-up invites coffee lovers to enjoy high-quality brews and pastries amidst a playful setting.
Visitors can look forward to a curated collection of exclusive collaboration merchandise featuring Y2K-inspired designs, along with a special drink that captures Kuromi’s charismatic charm. Highlights include a glam plush accessory, a latte plush toy, a purple Nalgene Tritan 16oz narrow mouth water bottle, an allover motif printed tumbler in black and transparent, a printed t-shirt for adults and kids, and a tote bag. To commemorate the launch, 2 special bundle deals will be offered in-store with limited quantities, each featuring over 10% discount with a combination of an adult-sized t-shirt with a tumbler, or a tote bag with a tumbler. Customers can enjoy a Taro Latte topped with Kuromi’s latte art, available with a HK$ 5 discount with any purchase of the collaboration. As an added treat, every in-store purchase will come with a complimentary Hypebeans Kuromi Café sticker, randomly chosen from three unique designs, while supplies last.
In addition, Hypebeans has teamed up with Fifty Cake, an artisan bakery in Hong Kong, to offer a delectable Ube Madeleine infused with brown sugar mochi and drizzled with rich chocolate glaze, an indulgent treat to enjoy in the Hypebeans space specially designed for this collaboration.
