有关于 NBA 交易消息在这几天都是话题之最，先有 Paul George 将续留 Oklahoma City Thunder，Chris Paul 也将续留 Houston Rockets，紧接而来 LeBron James 震撼转投 Los Angeles Lakers。到今日的 DeMarcus Cousins 宣布加盟 Golden State Warriors，以及 Rajon Rondo 以一年合约加盟 Lakers，都同样是令人热烈讨论的。那反观 LeBron James 的老家 Cleveland Cavaliers 又有甚么举动呢？时间回到当年的 2010 年，LeBron James 宣布离开转去 Miami Heat 时，当时 LeBron 被视为公敌，球迷们都把他的球衣烧毁并痛骂，Cavaliers 主席 Dan Gilbert 也写了一封信，辱骂 LeBron James 是懦夫，并诅咒他不能夺冠，由此产生很大的仇恨，即使 LeBron 再一次回到 Cavaliers 也覆水难收。
而这一次 LeBron 再一次选择离开 Cavaliers，球迷们反而很理智地对待，没有再焚烧球衣反而感谢他的付出。那么 Dan Gilbert 呢？想不到这次他竟然发表感人声明，更指未来将会把他的 23 号球衣退役。Dan Gilbert 的声明中还提到他永远记得 2016 年 6 月 19 日，LeBron 带领球队夺得这个本来遥不可及的总冠军，并同时若不是他的回来，也不会有这个时刻的诞生，令到 Cleveland Cavaliers 获得自 1964 年以来的第一次，对他在 Cavaliers 的每一刻及所投入的一切，表示感谢和感激。
