自从 Kobe Bryant 宣布退役，2016 NBA 变成他的 Show Time，能与之抢收视的人，只有状态处于颠峰的 Stephen Curry。2016 NBA All-Star Game 投票结果把这个结论数据化；NBA.com 发表初回投票结果，Kobe Bryant 以 719,235 票远远抛离去年 MVP Stephen Curry（510,202） 足 20 万票之多，曾是票王的 LeBron James 以 357,937 排得 3，所得的票甚至不及 Kobe 一半。All-Star Game 表演性质至上，最紧要高兴，相信比赛当日球员都会醒目「礼让」，给 Kobe 好好表演。Kobe 首年以前锋身份上阵 All-Star Game，如顺利进入本年正选阵容，他就会以 17 次出场纪录排史上参与 All-Star Game 第 2 多，以 2 场之差排在 Kareen Abdul-Jabbar 之后，但他依然以 280 分稳坐 All-Star Game 得分最高之位。Kobe 接受访问时表示，得知投票结果时自己正在煮咖啡，震惊不足以形容当时感受，唯有感谢大家爱戴。
